
Concurrently with her work as a musician, Iris Torossian has a passion for theater.
She is currently studying professionally at the Studio Pygmalion where she has been coached by Jean-Michel Steinfort, Martin Valente, Xavier Berlioz, Patricia Nagera, Laurent Le Bras, Philippe Bonnier, Elsa Hamnane, Jeanne Gottesdiener and Olympe Cawdor after studying at the Ecole du Jeu in 2022 - Delphine Eliet with Marta Chyczewska and an intensive course at the Cochet-Delaveine classes with Philippe Le Gars and Caroline Darnay.
In 2000, she starts intrumental theater at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris under Frédéric Stochl where she enthusiastically learns theater improvisation mixed with music. She plays both sides in the adaptation of the Jacques Rebotier play «Solfège».
As early as 2002, she takes classes in the Echauguette company with actors Didier Mérigou, Elodie Sörensen, Patrick D’Assumçao, Yves Roux and Catherine Hauseux, as well as with stage director Céline Reniau.
In 2008, she also takes a course with actor-mime, Julien Cottereau (Molière 2007). Interested in working in front of a camera, she takes classes with Lionel Nakache and plays in two of the actor-director's short films. «L’Un pour l’Autre» and an excerpt of «Million Dollar Baby» by Clint Eastwood wherein she plays a female Frankie.
During classes, she studies Hugo, Molière, Claudel, Koltès, Pommerat, Copi, Williams, Hare, as well as café-théâtre and improvisation.

On stage, she plays Anzoletta in «Les Cancans» by Goldoni, Hélène in «L’Atelier» by Jean-Claude Grumberg, Suzon in «Huit Femmes» from the François Ozon film.
As either an extra or in the background, she can be seen in the films «588 rue Paradis» by Henri Verneuil, «L’Ivresse du Pouvoir» by Claude Chabrol, «Frantz» by François Ozon, "Le mélange des genres" by Michel Leclerc.
In 2024, she played in Guillaume Paignon's short film «Quand je serai grande…»

During the Festival Musica Nigella, she reads the Fables of La Fontaine, and for «Jardins en scène» 2024, she is both musician and narrator in the traditional Japanese folk tale «La Grue reconnaissante».
Lucky encounters lead her to be asked to coach actress Léa Drucker during the filming of «Le mélange des genres» by Michel Leclerc (April 2025 release), to play a piece by Vincent Delerm on the harp.
